EAST JAVA ITINERARY OVERVIEW
Here is an overviews of what we’ll doing as we depart from Bali and make our way to East Java to start our adventure!
- Day 1 : Travel to Malang
- Day 2 : Sunrise at Mt Bromo (active volcano) & Tumpak Sewu waterfall
- Day 3 : Visit Mt Ijen & Return back to Bali
IMPORTHAN NOTICE :
- Day 2 we start with wake up cal at MIDNIGHT
- Please make sure you’re rested in advance, if needed. After you’re picked up, there may not be time for a full night’s sleep before we do Bromo jeep tour at least 08.00 am.
- The pick up point and time can be change depending on condition, and we might pick you in your hotel.
Day 1 : Travel to Malang
Pick up points :
06.00 Am – CANGGU
Location : Central Park, Canggu
06.45 Am – SEMINYAK
Location : Starbuck sunset road
07.00 Am – KUTA
Location : Monument Bom Bali
08.30 Am – UBUD
Location : Bintang Supermarket
Our driver will pick you up from one of the above locations, with our air – conditioner passenger van (car depending on how many people)
- Once we have picked up everyone, we’ll drive 4-5 hours to Gilimanuk port where we’ll drive aboard ferry over to Banyuwangi Jawa island. Crossing takes 1 hour
- Lunch shortly after deboarding the Ferry (in Banyuwangi).
- Continue drive to Malang to our homestay (takes 7-8 hours to arrive in our homestay). We’ll arrive in our homestay around 20.00/21.00 PM.
- Dinner will be around our homestay in Malang.
Day 2 : Sunrise at Mt Bromo (active volcano) & Tumpak Sewu waterfall
IMPORTANT Notes: Every weekend more than 1,000 Jeeps drive this tour.
Some viewing times may be limited to avoid traffic.
• 01:30 am – Wake Up Time!
On this time, we’ll wake you up to get ready and check out from the hotel and drive to meeting point with a jeep. Jeep driver will pick us up at the meeting point to leave for the Sunrise. From meeting to sunrise point takes 2 hours. we leave early to avoid as much traffic as possible.
• 05:30 am – Sunrise Time!
Watch the sun rise up from behind the volcano in Penanjakan( kinking hill, seruni point) You will have 30 minutes to watch the sunrise before we continue on to the crater.
• 06:30 am – Walk Back to Jeep
…to continue our trip to Bromo Crater. What should be a short drive, can take up to 1+ Hour if we get stuck in traffic.
• 06:30 am – Arrive at Mt. Bromo
You will have 90 minutes to go up, explore & return to the Jeeps.
Walking to the top rim can take up to 30 minutes.
• 08:00 am – Depart Mt. Bromo to Tumpak Sewu Waterfall
Continue our trip to Tumpak Sewu. This drive to Tumpak Sewu waterfall takes about 4 hours.
• 12:00 pm – Arrive at Tumpak Sewu Trailhead
A short hike in to see the waterfall from the top (Panorama) takes 10 minutes (walking) from the parking lot Continuing down to base of the waterfall and back up takes at least 1 hour.
You will have a maximum 2 hours at Tumpak Sewu waterfall.
- 14:00 pm – Drive to Bondowoso second homestay
drive to our second homestay will takes 5-6 hours. When you arrive please get rest as much as you can because we’ll start the trip early the next day.
Day 3 : Visit Mt Ijen & Return back to Bali
IMPORTANT Notes:
Mt. Ijen – It will be VERY Cold this early in the morning!
But once we start trekking you will be shedding layers with this intense hike and getting very warm after sunrise.
• Midnight – 01:45 am – Wake Up!
Day 3 starts EARLY with a wake-up call at Midnight – 01:45 am.
Please make sure you were rested in advance if needed (as stated above).
- 02:00 am – Depart hotel to Mt. Ijen
- 03:45 am – Arrive at Ijen. Here we’ll provide snack, coffee & tea before trekking
This is where you will meet our local trekking guide. (Masks and Headlamps will be provided for you.)
- 04:00 am – Start the trekking
- 06.00 am – Sunrise! Enjoy beautiful color of sunrise with mountain view and mountain.
- 07:00 am – (1 – 1.5 hour) Return Trek back down to Paltuding (Ijen parking lot).
- 08:30 am – Breakfast, ( Ijen cafe – provided )
- 10:00 am – Drive back to Bali ( takes around 7 hours until arrived in first stop in Bali)
- 17:00 pm – Arrived In Bali (start dropping every passenger to their hotline Bali!)
