EAST JAVA ITINERARY OVERVIEW
Here is an overviews of what we’ll doing as we depart from Bali and make our way to East Java to start our adventure!
- Day 1 : Travel to Banyuwangi
- Day 2 : Mt Ijen & Travel to Probolinggo
- Day 3 : Sunrise at Mt Bromo (active volcano)
DAY 1 : Travel To Banyuwangi
- Please choose your pick up time between 08.00 am t0 11.00 am.
Our driver will pick you up from your hotel, with our air – conditioner passenger van (car depending on how many people) Once we have picked up everyone, we’ll drive 4-5 hours to Gilimanuk port where we’ll drive aboard ferry over to Banyuwangi Jawa island. Crossing takes 1 hour
- Lunch or Dinner shortly after deboarding the Ferry (in Banyuwangi).
- Continue drive to our Hotel.
DAY 2 : Mt Ijen & Drive to Probolinggo
IMPORTANT Notes:
Mt. Ijen – It will be VERY Cold this early in the morning!
But once we start trekking you will be shedding layers with this intense hike and getting very warm after sunrise.
Midnight – 00:00 am – Wake Up!
Day 2 starts EARLY with a wake-up call at Midnight – 00:00 am.
Please make sure you were rested in advance if needed (as stated above).
- 00:30 am – Depart from hotel to Mt. Ijen
- 01:30 am – Arrive at Ijen
Here we’ll provide snack, coffee & tea before trekking
This is where you will meet our local trekking guide. (Masks and Headlamps will be provided for you.)
- 02:00 am – Start the trekking
- 03.30 am – Going down to Blue flame
- 07:00 am – (1 – 1.5 hour) Return Trek back down to Paltuding (Ijen parking area).
- 08:30 am – Drive back to the hotel
- 09:30 Am – Arrived at the homestay (here you have 90 minutes to shower, breakfast and get ready to check out and continue to drive to the next homestay in probolinggo
- 10. 00 Am – Drive to Probolinggo for the next Homestay
- 17.00-18.00 Pm : Arrived at the homestay in Probolinggo (Lunch and dinner will stop on at the restaurant on the way to the homestay)

DAY 3 : Sunrise at Mt Bromo (active volcano)
IMPORTHAN NOTICE :
Day 3 we start with wake up cal at MIDNIGHT . Please make sure you’re rested in advance, if needed. After you’re picked up, there may not be time for a full night’s sleep before we do Bromo jeep tour at least 09.00 am. and you will go to the waterfall afterward
Every weekend more than 1,000 Jeeps drive this tour. Some viewing times may be limited to avoid traffic.
- 02:30 am – Pick Up
Jeep driver will pick you up at the homestay to leave for the Sunrise point. From the homestay to sunrise point takes 45 minutes to 1 hour, we leave early to avoid as much traffic as possible.
- 05:30 am – Sunrise Time!
Watch the sun rise up from behind the volcano in Penanjakan. You will have 30 minutes to watch the sunrise before we continue on to the crater.
06:00 am – Walk Back to Jeep
…to continue our trip to Bromo Crater. What should be a short drive, can take up to 1+ Hour if we get stuck in traffic.
- 06:30-07.00 am – Arrive at Mt. Bromo
You will have 90 minutes to go up, explore & return to the Jeeps. Walking to the top rim can take up to 30 minutes.
- 09:00 am – DRIVER BACT TO THE HOTEL
Your driver will drive you back to the homestay for brakfast and get ready for check out.
- 11:00 am – Check out & Drive to your drop off address (Bali, Malang & Surabaya)
