EAST JAVA ITINERARY OVERVIEW

Here is an overviews of what we’ll doing as we depart from Surabaya/Malang and start our adventure to Bromo & Ijen!

Day 1: Surabaya/Malang – Sukapura

Depart from Surabaya/Malang and drive to Hotel in Bromo Area,departure time can be as request or depending on flight arrival. Once reach the Hotel you will have some time to spare at your convience by strolling around the hotel, the nearby farming area, witnessing the daily activities of the Tenggerese people, or just relaxing at the hotel.

Day 2: Sunrise Mt Penanjakan – Sea of Sand – Bromo Crater- Bondowoso/Probolinggo

Get ready to be picked up at 03.00 a.m by a 4 WD-vehicle to experience the bumpy road to reach Mt. Penanjakan 1 which is the best spot to enjoy the breathtaking scene of Bromo sunrise. Driving down the hill, you will pass the vast sea of sand, resulting from the eruption of Mt. Bromo, in a 30 minute-easy track all the way to the peak. From the crater rim, you can see the active Bromo crater, caldera and the mountainous views of Mt. Batok and the highest mount in Java Island, Mt. Semeru. Also, you can find the Hindu temple reflecting the Majapahit history. If you are lucky, you will be able to witness the Yadnya Kasada ceremony, a Tenggerese festival held every 14th of the Kasada month, to honor Sang Hyang Widhi the Almighty God, Roro Anteng the daughter of King Majapahit and Joko Seger the son of Brahmana. After breakfast, you will head to Ijen Crater in Banyuwangi with stop over for lunch. Here, you will stay for a night in a hotel.

Day 3: Mount Ijen – Drop off at your hotel (Bali,Surabaya,Malang)

Get ready at early morning because you will be picked up at 01.00 a.m from your hotel. We will start the trip by driving you to Paltuding. And when you get there, you will meet your local guide and have coffee/tea before trekking. Afterwards we will begin an hour trek to Ijen Crater.  Here, you can get the chance to witness the dazzling blue lava-like rivers of light known as the Blue Fire phenomenon. Next, we will explore the crater area seeing panoramic view of Mount Ijen turquoise. At 10 a.m, we’ll drive to Ketapang harbor and from there we’ll take a ferry  to Bali (if you want to get drop off in Bali) when you arrived in Gilimanuk harbor, our driver will be ready to take you to your hotel in Bali

DAY 1 : Sunrise at Mt Bromo (active volcano)

IMPORTHAN NOTICE :

• Day 1 we start with wake up call at MIDNIGHT
• Please make sure you’re rested in advance, if needed. After you’re picked up, there may not be time for a full night’s sleep before we do Bromo jeep tour at least 09.00 am.
• Every weekend more than 1,000 Jeeps drive this tour.

       Some viewing times may be limited to avoid traffic.

• 03:00 am – Pick Up

  Jeep driver will pick you up at the meeting point to leave for the Sunrise point.

• 05:00 am – Sunrise Time!

      Watch the sun rise up from behind the volcano in Penanjakan. You will have 30 minutes to watch the sunrise before we continue on to the crater.

• 06:00 am – Walk Back to Jeep

        …to continue our trip to Bromo Crater. What should be a short drive, can take up to 1+ Hour if we get stuck in traffic.

• 06:30 am – Arrive at Mt. Bromo

           You will have 90 minutes to go up, explore & return to the Jeeps. Walking to the top rim can take up to 30 minutes.

• 09:00 am –  Photo with a Jeep & Breakfast Time

• 10.00 pm- Drive to Banyuwangi for the  Homestay

(Lunch stop on The way) Takes 8 hours to arrive in our homestay). We’ll arrive in our homestay around 17.00/18.00 PM.

Please rest when you arrived at the homestay because we going to start he trip early morning for Mt ijen. Thank you

DAY 2 : Mt Ijen & back to Bali

IMPORTANT Notes:

Mt. Ijen – It will be VERY Cold this early in the morning!

        But once we start trekking you will be shedding layers with this intense hike and getting very warm after sunrise.

• Midnight – 00:30 am – Wake Up!

          Day 2 starts EARLY with a wake-up call at Midnight – 00.30  am.

        Please make sure you were rested in advance if needed (as stated above).

• 01:00 am – Depart from hotel to Mt. Ijen
• 01:30am – Arrive at Ijen.

Here we’ll provide snack, coffee & tea before trekking

       This is where you will meet our local trekking guide. (Masks and  Headlamps will be provided for you.)

• 02:00 am – Start the trekking (this trekking takes 90 minutes to 2 hours trekking)
• 03.30 – 04.00 am – Time to trek down to the blue flame
• 07:00 am – (1 – 1.5 hour) Return Trek back down to Paltuding (Ijen parking lot).
• 08:30 am – Breakfast, (Homestay )
• 10:00 am – Drive to Bali/Malang/Surabaya

( takes around 7 hours until arrived in first stop in Bali)

• 17:00 pm – Arrived In Bali

 (start dropping every passenger to their hotline Bali!)

 Drop off in Bali : Lovina/Ubud/Canggu/Seminyak/Kuta. (You can choose your drop off in Bali from one of those places)
